
We still haven't covered Chaos yet.So, what's Chaos? It means multiple things in Warhammer 40,000, but mainly it stands for the Chaos Gods and their armies. You may (and probably will) be looking at this and thinking "This is messed up!". Now put them on the trillions/qudrillions/quintillions.
The Tyranids: Take the Xenomorphs from Alien vs. Hell-bent on removing life from the galaxy. The Necrons: A bunch of metal skeletons that are immortal and stitch themselves up together when they're "killed". We've seen that somewhere else though on a much smaller scale, haven't we? The Tau Empire/Space Communists: A young race dedicated to bringing the entire galaxy together under "The Greater Good". The corrupted version of Eldar that are sadistic, hedonistic, and grimdark. The DARK Eldar: Not to be confused with the Eldar. The Eldar: A once mighty race that now lives on artificial planets that constantly grow called Craftworlds. The Orks: Green-skinned, savage barbarians who live for war. Keep in mind unlike the Imperium of Man, these guys aren't allied. Ordo Malleus/Hereticus/Xenos: 3 imperial orders that military branch's names are the Grey Knights, the Sisters of Battle, and the Deathwatch.
The Space Marines: Elite superhuman warriors that sound more OP than they actually are. The Imperial Guard: Your typical military soldier. Of course, there are several factions, which are:The Imperium of Mankind: It is a grimdark time where everything is stuck in the same godforsaken stalemate. Mankind is besieged on all sides by countless alien races and Chaos (I'll explain that later).
